View is the most comprehensive radon and air‑quality monitor from Airthings, featuring seven onboard sensors, including radon, PM2.5, and CO₂, combined with WiFi connectivity in a fully cable‑free device.
As a long‑term partner, 4MOD supports Airthings in the industrialization of their products across multiple generations. For View, our teams worked closely with Airthings throughout every stage of development and manufacturing, ensuring that the product’s architecture, components and processes were optimized from concept to mass production.
This partnership‑driven approach guarantees consistent quality, high reliability and a seamless transition into industrial-scale deployment.
Technical requirements
From the earliest design phases, our team worked hand in hand with the client to define the product’s mechanical architecture. Each component was designed with manufacturability and ease of assembly in mind. This approach significantly reduced assembly time, minimized complexity on the production line, and improved overall reliability.
The packaging was fully developed by our team with a strong emphasis on waste reduction and environmental responsibility. Its structure has been optimized to use the least amount of material possible without compromising protection or user experience. Additionally, once turned over, the packaging can be repurposed as an aesthetic storage box, extending its usefulness beyond the product’s unboxing.
Since the start of manufacturing, 370,000 products have been successfully deployed, demonstrating the robustness of both the product design and the optimized assembly process.
