Description
This project focuses on developing Sensorfact’s industrial IoT gateway, a key component that securely connects machine‑level sensors to the Sensorfact energy‑management platform.
4MOD supported Sensorfact in creating a robust, industrial‑grade gateway that fully embodies their brand identity. Beyond the electronic and mechanical engineering, our role was to ensure that the product’s physical design reflects Sensorfact’s values: reliability, accessibility, and modern industrial performance.
By integrating brand cues directly into the hardware, we delivered a gateway that feels unmistakably “Sensorfact”, not just functional, but aligned with the company’s visual and product language.
To achieve this, 4MOD carefully balanced aesthetic coherence with demanding robustness requirements, engineering a device capable of withstanding industrial conditions while maintaining high performance. The result is a gateway that meets all customer expectations in durability, connectivity and long‑term reliability.
Technical requirements
The gateway acts as the secure wireless bridge that collects high‑frequency data and transmits it to the Sensorfact platform for real‑time analysis. Its role is essential to enabling Sensorfact’s energy‑saving insights, predictive maintenance capabilities, and machine‑level monitoring across industrial environments.
A key technical challenge lies in delivering robust, low‑maintenance connectivity in complex factory settings while supporting a wide range of plug‑and‑play sensors. The gateway integrates seamlessly into existing industrial infrastructure, requiring no invasive installation and allowing customers to scale quickly across multiple machines or sites.
By enabling accurate, continuous, and privacy‑safe data acquisition, the project contributes to reducing industrial energy waste, improving machine uptime, and supporting Sensorfact’s mission to make energy efficiency effortless for manufacturers.
