At 4MOD Technology, we’re proud to announce our commitment to a sustainable future, in line with our validated Science Based Target initiative (SBTi):
• We will reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 65% by 2035 (from a 2023 base year).
• We are committed to measuring and reducing our Scope 3 emissions across our value chain.
• Our ultimate goal: reach net-zero by 2050, including a 90% reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2050.
How are we getting there?
Our journey is built on real, measurable actions:
• Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) at the Core: We’ve integrated LCA into every stage of our product development, using ISO 14040/44 standards to identify and reduce environmental impacts from design to end-of-life. This data-driven approach guides our decisions and helps us continually improve.
• Eco-Design & Innovation: Our latest remote-control design uses 70% recycled plastics, flexible PCBs, and even printed organic photovoltaics—cutting environmental impact by up to 70%. We’re pushing boundaries with research into new materials and energy harvesting technologies
• Sustainable Procurement: We’re rolling out a supplier risk assessment and code of conduct, aiming for 90% of our suppliers to meet strict sustainability criteria by 2025. This ensures our entire supply chain aligns with our values.
• E-Waste Reduction: Through innovations like our Greenmode Bluetooth solution, we’ve already avoided 113 tonnes of battery e-waste and 660 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. Our goal is to further reduce battery use and promote refurbishment and recycling.
• Renewable Energy: We’re investing in solar panels at our IoT factory in Tunisia, targeting 40% renewable energy use by 2026.
• Continuous Improvement: We’re recertified under ISO 14001, and our R&D investments are focused on sustainable electronics, with ongoing projects to further reduce our footprint
